The finest yarn comes from the cold climate of Inner Mongolia. Cashmere is the soft, downy underfleece grown by goats in this region. Superior fleece is combed from the neck and underbelly of the cashmere goat in Spring. Fibre from one goat can produce enough cashmere to make only one scarf, three goats are needed to produce enough fleece to make a sweater.

Pilling is not indicative of inferior quality as it can be a natural occurrence in new cashmere. After the first few washes these small balls of fibre should cease to form.

Our cashmere can be dry-cleaned or handwashed using a gentle detergent. Always dry the garment flat away from direct heat or sunlight. When dry, press with a warm iron.

We also offer a complete laundry service for all our Eugenie Cashmere products. Each item is handwashed, de pilled and pressed and returned looking as fresh as the day it was purchased.
